Rhoda Cameron Award is to recognise and acknowledge those Member Services who display excellence in meal delivery service and uphold the ideals of Rhoda Cameron.

When thinking of our founder, Rhoda Cameron, and the beginnings of Meals on Wheels in Queensland, the words that come to mind are:

To help determine the Member Service to whom the award will be presented, we have developed criteria which reflects the qualities and values above:

  1. Strives to help and assist their community.
  2. Shows initiative and determination to overcome adversity.
  3. Shows concern, compassion, empathy and support enabling clients to remain in their own homes longer.
  4. Shows initiative in promoting growth and sustainability of their Service.
