About Queensland Meals on Wheels Services Association.
The Queensland Meals on Wheels Services Association Inc is a community based organisation who provides information, resources and support to local Meals on Wheels Services throughout Queensland.
Mission Statement
Provision of support to Member Meals on Wheels Services through continued development and adoption of quality management initiatives, representation and promotion of Meals on Wheels at all levels.
To promote “care in the community” and to encourage and support the involvement of staff and volunteers in providing a flexible Meals on Wheels Service for the frail aged, younger people with a disability and their carers throughout Queensland.
Organisational Objectives
- To provide practical support to local Meals on Wheels Services to assist in the delivery of food services to eligible members of the community.
- To provide management, support and assistance to Member Services across Queensland.
- To assist local Meals on Wheels Services in Queensland to meet legislative requirements.
- To ensure local Meals on Wheels Services in Queensland are kept current on changes to nutritional and dietary guidelines.
